A couple weekends ago, my dear friend Allison came and stayed with me at my house! It was wonderful since I’ve been to her farm – so I got to be hostess and show her my farm! We stuffed our faces with food and relaxed (went to my favorite restaurant Fig in Biltmore Village) and it was lovely getting to see each other again.
Allison cut her hair around the same time I cut mine – only she didn’t tell me. I couldn’t believe it when our friend Amanda pointed out that something was different! I think Allison looks gorgeous with short hair. Since it’d been a while since her profile picture on her blog had been updated, the last morning she was here, we braved the chilly cold (and possible bears) and went out to get some new headshots for her. It was the first sunny day of her trip down here – sad it had to be the day she headed back! But the early morning light was beautiful, and the autumn leaves provided a really pretty backdrop.
This shoot reminds me of when I did portraits of my mom last year in the same woods. I seriously think our farm has the prettiest foliage around. We were so worried that it wouldn’t be that colorful this year because they got a late start! But thankfully, the trees are lovely, especially on sunny days.
Allison, my dear, I had a wonderful time with you when you came down! Thank you for being my best friend and putting up with me. 😉 I’m so thankful for the time we got to spend together and AHHH, I’m so happy I got these pictures. You are so beautiful inside and out, and I’m so proud to have you as my best friend.
