It’s been a little over a year since we became best friends, and I’m still a little overwhelmed and perplexed as to why God would give me such a wonderful person as a best friend.
I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone quite like you. You are such an amazing person. You’re always encouraging me, through all my hare-brained ideas. You’re so talented, but you always strive to grow your gifts. You read long emails of all my rambles and crazy dreams. You listen over the phone at the end of the day, comforting me when life gets too hard.
You show me the love of Christ. Through yours.
And although we’ve only been together twice, I value the limited time we spend together more than if we saw each other often. Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for caring – about me and about others. Thank you for being my art-inspiration. Thank you for sharing your favorite music with me.
You’re the purple to my blue, the giraffe to my hippo, the hazel eyes to my green ones.
You’re the girl who loves God with her heart, soul and mind; who strives to grow more like Him and inspires me to do the same. You’re the girl with purpose and passion. You’re the girl who got me to try art – and I love it now, though it’s not a strength. You all in all inspire me.
Thank you for being my best friend. And, “hand in hand, and heart in heart, [we’ll be] best friends forever, and never part”.
Happy birthday, my friend.
