December 30, 2019
I literally cannot believe it is time for this post already! I’m not sure if I want 2019 to be over yet. This has been the best year I’ve ever had since starting my business in 2016 and God has blessed it beyond what I thought was possible! Back when 2019 was just beginning, I set a goal of 20 shoots. Becoming a wedding photographer was a far-off, distant goal, and I felt so discouraged after a slow year. 2018 was very slow for so many reasons, a lot of family stuff happened and I couldn’t really focus on growing my business. 2019 was the first full year after graduating from high school and it was amazing!
I wasn’t sure where to start, but inspired by my dad’s marketing strategies, I took a few ideas and ran with it. I had failure, but I had success as well! I achieved my goal and flew with it. In the middle of the summer, I was running an average of a shoot a week! It was awesome to feel what it is like for my dreams to happen.
When 2020 is over, so many changes will have happened. This coming year, Aria Photo is going to become Aria Lewis Photography after I get married at the end of May. I’m completely rebranding (but keeping the blue!!) for my new location of Rolla, MO – about an hour southwest of St. Louis. I’ll still come back to Asheville to shoot weddings I’ve booked, but I AM MOVING! I’m excited about the challenge and the change, even though it holds a lot of unknowns.
If you were an Aria Photo Bride, Momma, Senior, or Couple this year, thank you so much for the honor of working with you!! I’m so thankful for all the opportunities I had this year, and despite challenges, am looking forward to more growth next year! Without further ado, here’s the best of the best from 2019. Enjoy!
Shooting Kenny and Callie’s proposal was definitely one of my favorite memories!!
I know our friends took this photo, but this was definitely the most exciting and biggest highlight of my year!! What am I kidding? My DECADE!
In a few final words, 2019 can be defined as flowers and laughter, mountains, new experiences and progress, and most of all, joy. <3
