Bethany this, Bethany that. By the time I finally met Bethany at my best friend’s Zoom Bible study during quarantine, I felt like I already knew her. For the past two years since my bestie, Allison, had been going to ECC, their church, I’d heard Bethany’s name pop up time and time again. It appeared she was quite a part of their community. So I was very excited to finally meet her, if only over Zoom.
And once I did, I knew why I’d heard about her so often. Once you meet Bethany, you can’t forget her. Her personality sparkles just like her beautiful smile, and she adds a little bit of happiness to your life at just a glance. And apparently, Brandon couldn’t forget her either.
They met online, on Match.com, both skeptical if it would even work. A few days after completing their profiles, they struck up a conversation, and then found themselves discussing deep subjects over breakfast not too long afterward. After another date they were stuck together, figuring out how to work a relationship around their jobs and their distance of a few hours.
And, seven months later, Brandon was on one knee, presenting Bethany with the ring his great-grandfather had given his bride, Essie, many years ago. John had felt a calling to enter into ministry but developed tuberculosis after having completed his studies. And so, Brandon, a pastor, is the fulfillment of that role, and Bethany, probably just as spunky as spitfire Essie, will go with him.
Brandon, Bethany, thank you both so much for the honor of taking your engagement pictures and sharing a small part in your love story. We are so excited for your wedding NEXT MONTH and can’t wait to see what God has in store for your lives together.
Enjoy a few of my favorites from their shoot below! 🙂
