I am so excited to share this shoot! It has been a work of much stress and many talented creatives.
The idea for this shoot basically started several years ago. You see, I grew up on a farm – with an apple orchard. And being a lover of beauty, spring captured my soul every year when the trees would bloom and everything would be white! A few years back I did a styled senior session in my family’s orchard. It has, however, always been a dream to photograph a wedding in a blooming orchard! And this spring, I was determined to make that dream a reality. One morning, I frantically dialed up Cece, an awesome planner in STL. “Cece!”, I burst out over the phone, “Want to plan another styled shoot with me?” She was totally up for it, even though we had just a few months before it would be time to shoot in the blooms.
And, my friends, these have been stressful months! But, we had some wonderful vendors come to our aid, and despite hiccup after hiccup, everyone pulled through and it turned out beautifully! Minus the apple blossoms, because of all things, it had to snow. In April.
The moral of the story? With the right creative team, you can accomplish just about anything. But it’s best to have a few more than just a couple months to plan an entire styled shoot. All that aside – enjoy the beauty we created below!
